Repashy Bug Burger is a complete gel diet for crickets, roaches, and other feeder insects. The formula both feeds and hydrates and is fortified with calcium. Three ounces of dry powder makes 1.25 pounds of finished gel feed, giving keepers a prepared food that covers both nutrition and moisture for feeder colonies in one format.
To prepare Repashy Bug Burger, mix one part powder with no more than three parts water and heat until it begins to boil, or stir the powder into water that has just been boiled. Let it cool until firm, then use it as cubes, shredded pieces, or a whole slab. Prepared gel can be refrigerated for up to two weeks or frozen for up to six months. Offer ad libitum. Refrigeration will extend freshness.
Directions
Mix one part powder into not more than three parts water and stir until blended. Microwave until it starts to boil, remove and stir. Alternatively, bring water to a boil on stove, remove from heat, and stir in powder. Let container cool, or immediately pour into a storage container or mold, and let sit at room temp until firm. The finished gel can be cut into cubes, shredded, or used as a whole slab. Whatever is not used immediately should be treated as fresh food. It can be stored sealed in refrigerator for up to two weeks, and in freezer for up to six months. Offer ad libitum. Do NOT use more than three parts water or overhydration can occur.
