Mazuri Tortoise Diet (5M21) is a complete, extruded pellet for tortoises and terrestrial turtles, especially forest and tropical species such as red-footed, yellow-footed and star tortoises, as well as adult box and wood turtles. It contains the vitamins and minerals they need, so no extra supplement is required.
It is not the diet for grassland and desert tortoises such as sulcata, leopard or Russian tortoises; Mazuri makes a separate high-fiber LS diet for those. Feed it alongside good grass hay or browse and some fresh vegetables, keep fruit to a small part of the diet, and always provide clean water and proper humidity.
Feeding Directions
Feed approximately 2-4% of body weight. It is not necessary to moisten pellets with water, though it may help acclimate animals to the diet. Feed consumption will vary with environmental temperatures, activity and lifestage. Provide good quality grass hay or browse. If desired, feed fresh fruits and vegetables. At most 5% fruit and 20% vegetables by weight of total diet. Always provide animal with plenty of fresh, clean water. Proper humidity levels are also critical for health and proper growth of herbivorous reptiles.

Keeper notes
Soak Mazuri Tortoise Diet pellets briefly in water if your tortoise prefers them soft, and remove uneaten food the same day, because moist pellets spoil quickly in a warm, humid enclosure.
