Repashy Veggie Burger is a moderate-protein, plant-based gel formula for omnivorous reptiles such as bearded dragons and blue tongue skinks. It can also be offered as an occasional treat for herbivores such as tortoises and iguanas. The distinction matters: for herbivores, this is a treat rather than an everyday primary food.
To prepare Repashy Veggie Burger, stir one part powder into 2-3 parts boiling water, then let it cool or pour it into a mold. The gel sets at room temperature and can be cut into pieces or long strips for feeding. Treat prepared gel as fresh food; it can be sealed and refrigerated for up to two weeks or frozen for up to six months. Offer ad libitum. That format makes it easy to prepare a batch, portion it, and keep the rest stored for later use.
Directions
Bring water to a boil on stove, in microwave or kettle. Pour boiling water into a bowl and immediately stir in powder (1 part powder to 2-3 parts water). Let cool or immediately pour into mold. Gel will set at room temperature. Cut into pieces or long strips for feeding. Once made, gel should be treated as fresh food and can be sealed and stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freezer for up to six months. Offer ad libitum.
Notes
For herbivores such as tortoises and iguanas, use only as an occasional treat.
Refrigeration will extend freshness.
