- Broad spectrum of carotenoids
- Includes astaxanthin and beta-carotene
Repashy SuperPig is a carotenoid supplement designed to enhance the diet of reptiles, fish, amphibians, and birds. Its formula contains a broad spectrum of carotenoids, including astaxanthin, capsanthin, capsorubin, beta-carotene, alpha carotene, beta cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin, lutein, canthaxanthin, lycopene, and several others. Its role is focused on adding carotenoids to the diet as a pigment enhancement formula.
In practice, Repashy SuperPig is mixed into complete feeds at up to 4% on a dry-weight basis, providing 50 ppm astaxanthin. That places it within an established complete feed rather than being offered separately. Refrigeration will extend freshness. Because the formula includes many different carotenoids, keepers can add that broad carotenoid profile through one supplement when preparing feeds for reptiles, fish, amphibians, or birds.
