The Exo Terra Daylight Basking Spot is a broad-spectrum daylight spot lamp with a neodymium glass sleeve, which gives a crisp, natural looking light. The spot shape focuses heat and light in one direction, so you can create a basking area exactly where you want it, and it also gives off some UVA.
Use it as the daytime basking light, and pair it with a night heat source such as the Night Heat Lamp or Infrared Basking Spot if night temperatures drop too low. Exo Terra recommends its Light Dome Small, Reptile Dome Small or Wire Light Small as fixtures. Always control a basking bulb with a thermostat or a timer and check the basking temperature with a thermometer.

Keeper notes
Hang the Exo Terra Daylight Basking Spot over one end of the enclosure, so the animal can move away from the heat to a cooler side. Measure the basking surface with a probe thermometer or temperature gun, and raise or lower the lamp until the temperature is right for your species. Keep a spare bulb on hand, because basking bulbs tend to fail without warning.
