The Exo Terra TerraSky UV combines bright 6,500K white LEDs with UVA and UVB LEDs in one slim, IP54-rated fixture. With the remote you can set white, UVA and UVB separately in 10% steps, choose 8, 12 or 14 hour day lengths with sunrise and sunset, store three custom settings and use moonlight and biofluorescence modes. Exo Terra rates the LEDs for up to 20,000 hours.
Its strong light and wide 120° beam suit planted and bioactive terrariums, paludariums and aquatic turtle setups, giving plants enough light to grow and the animals UVB for vitamin D3. UVB does not pass through glass, so mount it over the screen or inside the terrarium, aimed down, and keep it at least 8 inches from the animal. Exo Terra recommends adding a separate heat source, such as a basking spot.

Caution
UV light: avoid eye and skin exposure and do not look into the light. Keep at least 8″ (20 cm) from the animal. UVB does not pass through glass. Switch off before working in the terrarium and use only the supplied adapter. Make a drip loop in the cord. Indoor use only. Check UVB output after 2 years.
Keeper notes
Set the Exo Terra TerraSky UV day length to suit your species, start at a lower UVB setting and raise it while you watch how the animal uses the light. Wipe dust off the fixture now and then, since dust reduces the output.
