- Bendable and twistable stem
- Non-toxic, sturdy material
- Rinse clean with water
- Medium, model PT3040
The Exo Terra Ficus is a very realistic artificial hanging plant made of non-toxic, sturdy material, with a stem you can bend and twist into shape. It is ideal for quarantine and other simple setups, or for spots in the terrarium where real plants cannot thrive.
Arboreal geckos, chameleons and tree frogs feel safer with leaves to hide behind and climb through, and it combines well with live plants. When it gets dirty, simply rinse it with water.
Keeper notes
Hang the Exo Terra Ficus from the top or side of the terrarium, then bend the stem so the leaves give cover where your animal likes to rest, often near the top and around the basking area. Leaves also give arboreal animals a place to drink: mist them, and many geckos and chameleons lick the droplets. Combine artificial plants with branches so the animal has routes to climb, and check that no leaves touch a heat lamp. Rinse the plant now and then, because dried calcium and waste stick to the leaves. In quarantine tubs, it gives cover that is easy to remove, clean and put back.
