Lugarti grapevine wood comes from California vineyards. Lugarti hand-finishes, sandblasts and heat-treats each piece to eliminate any pests. As a result, you get a twisted, natural branch with lots of grip.
Grapevine is a classic in arboreal enclosures. For example, crested geckos, gargoyle geckos and small chameleons use its many turns and forks for climbing and perching. The small size, about 10 to 14 inches, suits 15 to 20 gallon enclosures. Since it is natural, pieces vary in size and shape.

Keeper notes
Rinse Lugarti grapevine wood and let it dry before use. Then wedge or anchor it so it holds firm when a gecko jumps onto it. Also arrange branches at different heights, so your animal can move between the warm top and the cooler, more humid lower levels. In humid enclosures, grapevine can grow harmless white mold at first. It usually fades as a clean-up crew or airflow takes care of it. However, replace a piece that softens or smells. Grapevine is light, so it is easy to rearrange and lift out for cleaning. In addition, several small pieces make a fuller climbing network than one large branch.
