Rep-Cal calcium without vitamin D3 contains only 100% natural, phosphorus-free oyster shell calcium carbonate as its calcium source. It has no added starch, sugar, soy or preservatives. Similarly, it has no artificial coloring, flavoring or fragrance. In short, it is plain calcium carbonate.
Because it has no D3, it is meant for reptiles and amphibians that make their own vitamin D3. In other words, they need natural sunlight or proper UVB lighting. It is also the safer choice when the diet or another supplement already supplies D3.
Dosage
Mix with vegetables, fruits and pastes approximately 1/2 to 1 tablespoon per pound of food. Before feeding insects, place insects and calcium powder in a plastic bag and shake slowly until covered.
Caution
Do not use if tamper proof seal is broken or missing. Consult your veterinarian for any special nutritional problems or advice.

Rep-Cal calcium without vitamin D3 only does its job if your animal gets enough UVB. So check your bulb’s age and distance as part of your routine. For dusting, put a few insects in a cup or bag with a pinch of powder. Then shake gently until they are lightly coated, and feed them right away. Finally, keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
