Repashy Banana Cream Pie is a vitamin- and mineral-fortified fruit treat premix for omnivores, herbivores, and frugivores. It can be offered as a treat, used as a topper or mix-in, or prepared as a gel, paste, or smoothie. That flexibility makes it easy to work into an existing feeding routine without treating it as the main diet.
For a smoothie, mix Repashy Banana Cream Pie with water to the consistency you want. For gel, combine one part powder with 2-3 parts boiling water, stir immediately, then cool or pour into a mold; it sets at room temperature. Once prepared, treat the gel as fresh food and store it sealed in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Offer ad libitum. Refrigeration also extends the freshness of the dry product.
Directions
To make Smoothie, mix with water to desired consistency and serve. For gel, bring water to boil in kettle, on stove or in microwave. Pour water into a bowl and immediately stir in powder (1 part powder to 2-3 parts water by volume). Let cool or pour into a mold. Gel sets at room temperature. Cut into pieces or strips for feeding. Once made, gel should be treated as fresh food and can be sealed and stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks. Offer ad libitum.
