Repashy Meat Pie is a meal replacement gel for carnivorous reptiles and amphibians, now made with chicken. It is suited to animals such as monitors, tegus, newts, salamanders, and horned frogs, along with other carnivorous species. The formula gives keepers a prepared gel option specifically aimed at meat-eating reptiles and amphibians.
To prepare Repashy Meat Pie, stir one part powder into 2-3 parts boiling water, then let it cool or pour it directly into a mold. The gel sets at room temperature and can be cut into pieces or long strips for feeding. Once made, treat it as fresh food; prepared gel can be sealed and refrigerated for up to two weeks or frozen for up to six months. Offer ad libitum. Refrigeration will extend the freshness of the dry product as well.
Directions
Bring water to a boil on stove, in microwave or kettle. Pour boiling water into a bowl and immediately stir in powder (1 part powder to 2-3 parts water by volume). Let cool or immediately pour into mold. Gel will set at room temperature. Cut into pieces or long strips for feeding. Once made, gel should be treated as fresh food and can be sealed and stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freezer for up to six months. Offer ad libitum.
