Repashy SuperCal MeD is a micro-fine calcium supplement for reptiles and amphibians with medium levels of vitamin D. It is intended for species with normal vitamin D requirements. The calcium carbonate is sourced from the Mohave Desert in California and micro-ground to an average size of 3.5 microns, giving the powder a very fine texture for supplementation.
For feeder insects, Repashy SuperCal MeD can be applied as a light dusting before feeding. For fresh fruit and vegetables, use 1 heaping teaspoon per pound. The fine calcium carbonate is intended to provide strong adhesion when dusted onto insects, helping the powder stay on the feeder item. The defining feature of this version is its medium vitamin D level, making it the SuperCal option intended for species with normal vitamin D requirements.
Directions
Dust insects by placing in a plastic bag and shaking lightly to coat insects with powder before feeding to animals. For supplementing fresh fruit and vegetables, use 1 heaping Teaspoon per Pound.
Information
Our Calcium Carbonate is mined from the Mohave Desert in California, where it was deposited 300 million years ago during the Mississippian Age as a large graveyard of marine animals. Our calcium is micro ground to an average size of 3.5 microns, and provides the ultimate “stick” when dusted onto insects.
