Lugarti reptile calcium with D3 is a microfine, precipitated calcium carbonate made from high quality limestone. It also contains added vitamin D3. Moreover, the powder is phosphorus-free and contains no oyster shell or bone meal. As a result, it adds calcium without upsetting the calcium to phosphorus balance of the diet.
Use a calcium with D3 when your animal gets little or no UVB. Without UVB, they cannot make their own vitamin D3, so they cannot absorb calcium well. However, if you also use a multivitamin that contains D3, pick a calcium without D3 instead. That way, the two do not add up to too much D3. The fine powder also sticks well to crickets, roaches and worms.
Directions
Place insects in a cup or bag and gently shake to lightly coat them. Feed immediately after dusting food items.

Dust only what your animal eats within a few minutes, because the powder falls off as insects move. Since Lugarti reptile calcium with D3 already supplies vitamin D3, check your other products first. For example, many multivitamins and complete diets also contain D3. Finally, keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Also replace powder that has caked from moisture.
